I'm still here

Hello, I'm still here. I've been busy quilting and knitting. I've made the cutest purses. A friend and I are going to have a booth in a couple of fall festivals. So, I've started all my little projects. If anything, strikes your fancy, don't hesitate to ask about it. I'll be glad to share prices. I've quilted several of my own quilts and made a couple of baby sweaters. And now I'm doing socks. There are just too much pretty things to work with, it just calls my name.

Also, this past week, I started doing long-arm quilting for other fellow quilters. We'll see how that goes.

A friend of Courtney's has asked what I plan to do when I get old and then they further suggested that it should be "Bingo". haha Since I'm not old yet, I don't have to worry about that, now do I?

Enjoy the pictures.

Quilt Retreat

Got home a couple of hours ago from the Cottonwood Guild Quilt Retreat. It was held at the beautiful Carol Joy Holling Retreat in Ashland, NE. I had lots of fun and got a ton of stuff done.....yeah. I got to go early on Thursday and sewed until this afternoon. Good friends, good food, good bed, good times. Can't wait till the next one. I will try to post some pics in a few days of my projects.

Photos Have Been Added

This blogging is pretty easy.... I just added links at the bottom of the page that will take you to my quilts, artwork and other photo albums. Have fun....and be nice with your thoughts and comments....I'm a very fragile person.

I completed "The Shawl"

Good evening. I have officially finished "The Shawl" for Barbara, a fellow classmate in our knitting class. I will block it tonight and then post a picture for you to enjoy. Tomorrow I will pack my clothes and sewing supplies for a long weekend sewing retreat. I can't wait. Maybe I can post a few pictures before I leave of some of my finished projects.

If you click on the title listed above it will show you the shawl and my current knitting projects. Enjoy.

Knitting

After several attempts at this shawl for a knitting classmate, I've decided that I should not knit for hours on end and especially not while watching TV, drinking wine or peach schnapps and not expect to develop mistakes. I had to go the knitting store for assistance in fixing my mistakes. Yeah, they did it!!! I'm back on track for my marathon knitting again.

Quilt Questions Answered

Good afternoon out there. Hopefully, where you are is warmer than in Omaha, NE. The dogs and I are enjoying a cozy afternoon at the computer learning how to blog. Why am I doing this, you may ask? Who knows, I was bored and this looked interesting at the moment.

Had a visitor from one of the quilt groups that I belong to come over this afternoon and look at the quilt I'm making for "The Gathering" project. I have not been happy with it and asked for her input. I think I should have offered her some wine before we looked at it. I knew I wasn't finished with it, but, gosh, oh my, I have a bit more to do before I turn in it for this auction.

I'll post some pics of this adventure before I let go of it. And hopefully, I'll figure out how to do a slide show of my projects someday too. So, don't look at the blog too often, because I'll probably not be good at keeping up with it.

Enjoy your day. Stay warm and enjoy some hot chocolate.

Brenda
